Who is accountable
Adamant Tech (Pty) Ltd is led by its founder and director, Jaco van der Walt. He has more than twenty years in technology, the last twelve at Amazon Web Services, working on infrastructure, security and applied AI. The failures that cause real harm are rarely exotic. They are a backup nobody tested, a permission nobody revoked and an update nobody applied. They occur in a twelve-person business as readily as in a large one.
Adamant Tech therefore serves both ends: practical IT for homes and small businesses, and senior advisory for larger organisations. One principal is accountable from the first scoping conversation to hand-over.
Why “Adamant”
From the Greek adamas: unconquerable, unyielding. The same root gave the word diamond. It describes the aim: a setup that does not break, and a person who answers when it does.
What one principal means
Clients deal with the person who scoped and built their setup, and nothing is explained twice. There is no first-line queue and no junior practising on a client network.
It also sets limits. Urgent work is triaged, and clients are told where they stand. Where a client needs round-the-clock cover or a larger team, Adamant Tech says so early and recommends a suitable provider.
Pricing
Scope and price are agreed in writing before work starts. Hourly rates are on the Contact page. Everything else is quoted: per user per month for managed IT and per engagement for projects and advisory.
Where
Randburg, Johannesburg. On-site work is in Gauteng. Remote work is available anywhere in South Africa and abroad.
